Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. I provide virtual therapy for adults located in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.

I work virtually only and do not currently offer in-person sessions. Sessions are held through a HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom.

The first one to two sessions typically involve history-taking through a biopsychosocial assessment process. I approach this collaboratively rather than as a sterile or rigid interview process, which means the conversation is guided both by what I need to understand clinically and by what feels most important for you to share.

From there, we begin looking together at themes, patterns, coping strategies, relational dynamics, and the concerns bringing you to therapy in the first place.

We’ll also develop treatment goals together so that the work feels intentional, useful, and like a good use of your time and resources. Those goals are always flexible and can shift as your needs change.

I currently accept Allied Trades insurance.

For clients using out-of-network benefits, I can also provide a Superbill for reimbursement.

A Superbill is a detailed receipt for therapy services that clients can submit directly to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

If you plan to use out-of-network benefits, I recommend contacting your insurance company directly to ask whether your plan includes out-of-network coverage for mental health services. If it does, clients are often reimbursed for a percentage of therapy costs after submitting Superbills.

My fee is $170 for a 50-minute therapy session.

Yes. I maintain a limited number of sliding scale spots, which we can discuss during a consultation call.

The Pennsylvania Victims Compensation Assistance Program (VCAP) provides funding for therapy for survivors of sexual assault that occurred in Pennsylvania.

You don’t need to have reported the assault to police, and there’s no statute of limitations for applying.

VCAP provides up to $5,000 in therapy coverage for assaults that occurred after age 18, and up to $10,000 for assaults that occurred before age 18.

I currently offer daytime sessions only and do not offer evening appointments.

No. I do not use AI programs that listen to therapy sessions or generate clinical notes.

Protecting privacy, confidentiality, and the integrity of the therapeutic relationship is extremely important to me.

I offer complimentary 20-minute Zoom consultation calls before scheduling first sessions.

The consultation gives us a chance to talk briefly about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re looking for, and whether working together feels like a good fit.

I require consultations before scheduling first appointments because it’s important for both of us to have a sense of the therapeutic fit before beginning work together. I want to make sure my skills, experience, and approach align with what you’re looking for.

I respond to all new client inquiry emails within one business day.
