About me
Hey! I’m Katherine Scholle (she/her), a therapist based in the vibrant city of Philadelphia. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. I’m licensed to work with clients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York—whether you're local or looking for virtual therapy that feels like a real connection.
I work with adults for individual, virtual therapy. I also provide free assessments for trans and gender nonconforming folks pursuing gender-affirming medical care- because access to affirming care shouldn’t be a barrier.
My therapy style is warm, authentic, and non-pathologizing. I specialize in supporting people navigating mood challenges, relationship struggles, substance use, and trauma. I work with people who are learning to trust their own ways of thinking, feeling, and being- and I bring humor, real talk, and heart to the work we do together.
As a neurodivergent-affirming therapist, I work from the belief that your brain doesn’t need to be “fixed.” Whether you're late-diagnosed, self-diagnosed or just figuring things out, we focus on your strengths and the unique ways you experience the world. I bring a deep respect for your lived experience, honoring your capacity to lead your own healing journey.
I’m HAES-aligned (Health at Every Size), fat-friendly, LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed, and trained in Harm Reduction. If you’re using substances, abstinence is not a requirement here. Your own goals define your healing - not someone else’s checklist.
My clinical background includes everything from jails and inpatient treatment to community-based mental health and supportive housing.
I draw from a variety of modalities—psychodynamic, IFS, CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, Gottman Method, and group work—but most importantly, I listen to you. Together, we co-create something that feels real and useful.
